111 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019, USA
Imagine stepping into the Manhattan home of a renowned art collector and cultural investor, whose refined eye shapes every inch of their surroundings. At 111 West 57th Street, one of the most coveted addresses on Billionaires’ Row, this 6,268-square-foot living room merges Art Gallery–Inspired High-End Contemporary Interior Design with statement furnishings from Roche Bobois and other global brands.
This residence was envisioned not simply as a luxury living room, but as a living artwork—a bold, sculptural composition that reflects both functionality and emotional resonance. With a budget of USD 154,000 (approx. 200 million KRW), every detail was orchestrated to transcend conventional luxury and embody the cultivated identity of its owner.

The design narrative was guided by a concept of “Sculptural Elegance and Emotional Nuance.” Here, the living room takes on the aura of a gallery installation. Rather than existing as a static background, it is an active work of art. Each line, curve, and surface was carefully curated to create rhythm and resonance across the space.

A rich tonal palette—deep umbers, silken neutrals, and glimmers of metallic accents—provides the backdrop. Into this, uniquely crafted furniture and statement pieces were inserted like sculptures on display. From Roche Bobois’s Vibrato floor lamp to custom stainless-steel consoles and artisan-crafted tables, the furnishings act as both functional objects and emotional touchpoints.
The approach balances austerity and warmth: polished stone and stainless steel convey modernism, while brushed fabrics and natural woods infuse human intimacy. The result is an environment that not only functions as a living room but also narrates the intellectual and cultural life of its owner

“What I love most is how the room feels like my personal gallery. I can sit here with a glass of wine and feel the same inspiration I do when standing in front of a Rothko or Giacometti.”

Designing a space that balanced functionality and artfulness was the greatest challenge. The team resolved this by integrating modular seating with sculptural accents, ensuring both comfort for gatherings and visual drama befitting the client’s art-driven lifestyle.

With a USD 154,000 budget, the design achieved a balance of bespoke furnishings and signature brand pieces that emphasize artistry without excess.

This living room was crafted for a cultivated lifestyle where art, culture, and conversation converge. Hosting collectors, critics, and fellow visionaries, the owner can stage intimate salons in a space where every surface speaks to sophistication.
The choice of Roche Bobois lighting, paired with refined contemporary furnishings, enhances the gallery-like atmosphere, while still maintaining the comfort expected from High-End Furniture. For the homeowner, every evening becomes an immersive cultural experience—whether entertaining, reflecting, or simply living within beauty.
Each piece has been selected to highlight a balanced interplay of sculptural form, luxurious materiality, and functional poise, curated to elevate the character and flow of your interiors.
“Luxury is not about filling a space—it’s about curating a dialogue between form, function, and feeling. When your living room feels like an art piece, you don’t just inhabit it—you live inside your own masterpiece.” — Lead Designer
