Before and After

Design Story

The design narrative is rooted in “Sculptural Harmony for Elevated Dining.” Far beyond its functional role, the dining room was envisioned as a curated gallery of textures and forms, where each element carries a distinct sculptural voice.

A cream-based marble dining table anchors the room, its solid presence softened by the champagne-gold legs that reflect light like jewelry. Around it, Gubi’s Bat Dining Chairs introduce refined curvature, their upholstered shells offering tactile comfort while reinforcing the organic rhythm of the space.

Above, the Roche Bobois Cactus Suspension Pendant floats like a luminous sculpture, casting shifting patterns that evolve with the evening mood. Neutral-toned walls and delicately veined textures allow light to perform as a silent co-designer, transforming the environment from sunlit vibrance to candlelit intimacy.

Every element was selected with intention: Molteni&C’s Teso table structures, Ditre Italia’s Pillar collection, and Knoll’s Bertoia Diamond Chair each contribute layers of iconic design heritage. Together, they balance emotional calm with contemporary sophistication, making the dining experience both intimate and memorable.

Homeowner Q&A

Favorite Element:

“The way the gold accents catch candlelight during late dinners—it feels like dining inside a living sculpture.”

Biggest Challenge & Solution:

Designing a space that could feel intimate for family dinners yet grand for 20-guest soirées posed the main challenge. The solution came through flexible circulation paths, a sculptural central table, and adaptable layered lighting that can shift from cozy to theatrical.

Budget:

With a budget of USD 70,300, the focus was on statement furniture and lighting—selecting timeless, investment-grade pieces that elevate not just the dining space but the overall identity of the residence.

Lifestyle Impact

For Dubai’s HNWI clientele, the dining room is not just a place to eat—it is an arena for storytelling, business networking, and cultural exchange. Hosting a curated dinner here becomes a lifestyle ritual.

Brands like Louis Vuitton Home, Versace Home, Roche Bobois, and Molteni&C resonate with this demographic because they embody global luxury fused with artistry. Each object functions as a cultural signifier: a Gubi chair for refined European modernism, a Knoll classic for design heritage, and Sahrai rugs for artistic grounding.

This design empowers the homeowner’s lifestyle: moments of family intimacy coexist with evenings of grandeur, framed within an atmosphere of sculptural elegance.

Designers Furnitures Recommendation

  • Area Rug: Sahrai Claire (Place Vendôme Collection) – a luxurious Aubusson flatweave rug woven from linen and silk relief, featuring a tone-on-tone traditional floral border encircling a serene central field. Closing Tip

“Luxury is not about excess—it’s about creating a space where every curve, every light, every texture has meaning. The true elegance of a dining room lies in how it makes people feel when they gather.” — Lead Designer, IL Primo Dubai
