Explore a 1,770-sq-ft unique luxury home at The Benson in New York. This residence highlights refined design, premium comfort, and timeless elegance.
At the heart of Manhattan’s cultural elite lives Daniel Meyer, a venture capitalist with a passion for contemporary art and curated dining experiences. His 1,770-square-foot New York luxury residence redefines the concept of the dining room, transforming it into a gallery-like sanctuary where sculptural furniture and artistic lighting take center stage.
Designed in the spirit of Contemporary Art Luxury Interior Design, the dining room integrates B&B Italia’s Tobi-Ishi dining table, Cassina’s Back-Wing chairs, and statement lighting from Roche Bobois and Cassina. The result is a space where High-End Furniture transcends functionality, becoming a bold expression of lifestyle, individuality, and timeless refinement.

The design narrative unfolds with a concept titled “Artistry in Everyday Dining: Blurring the Boundaries of Gallery and Home.”
The centerpiece is the Tobi-Ishi Round Dining Table by B&B Italia, crafted from striped Carrara and Green Alpi marble, its sculptural form echoing the geometry of contemporary sculpture. Above, the Mariposa Suspension Pendant by Roche Bobois hovers like a lunar installation, casting soft, dramatic rhythms of light across the space.

To counterbalance the bold gestures of the table and pendant, Cassina’s Back-Wing Chairs in natural wood with sleek black legs were chosen, offering both warmth and tactile sophistication. The background black-toned partition wall creates a striking visual rhythm, contrasting against the white gallery-like backdrop. Beneath it all, the classic herringbone wood flooring grounds the space in stability, providing equilibrium to the avant-garde design elements.
Every element here is a dialogue—between art and function, restraint and boldness, daily living and curated exhibition.

Favorite Element:
“For me, it’s the pendant light. Every evening it feels like a new art piece, shifting in tone as the light fades from gold to silver. It reminds me of lunar phases—an eternal rhythm in my dining rituals.”

Biggest Challenge & Solution:
The challenge was balancing dramatic sculptural elements without overwhelming the intimacy of a dining room. The solution lay in introducing natural wood tones, soft finishes, and classic flooring to anchor the daring pieces, creating equilibrium.

Budget:
With an investment of USD 70,300, the dining room delivers an art-driven luxury experience that rivals curated galleries, yet remains entirely livable.

This dining room redefines what it means to host in New York. For private collectors, art patrons, and sophisticated hosts, the space elevates dinner into performance. Guests dine around B&B Italia’s iconic table, illuminated by Roche Bobois’s sculptural pendant, while surrounded by an atmosphere that blends intimacy with dramatic presence.
For everyday living, the design fosters mindful dining experiences—a pause from the frenetic city, where materials, textures, and light combine to cultivate serenity. Hosting family or entertaining guests feels akin to curating an exhibition, a lifestyle reserved for those who embrace refinement.
Luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton Home, Versace Home, Roche Bobois, Cassina, and B&B Italia remind us that High-End Furniture is not just about function but about storytelling, taste, and identity.

“Luxury in a dining space is not about excess—it’s about curation. Choose each piece as if it were an artwork, and let the dialogue between light, form, and material create the story of your home.” – Lead Designer
